I am pleased to bring my extensive academic and corporate experience to the USCB. In preparation for my academic journey as a Professor and Researcher, I earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and a second bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University. I earned a master's degree in Business Administration from Mackenzie University, Brazil, and credits from the master's degree program in Organizational Behavior at New York University. Then I earned my Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Florida.

I have more than fifteen years of teaching experience in the United States and Brazil. My teaching interests and expertise varies among courses such as Principles of Management and Leadership, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Organizational Behavior, Research Methods, Health Care Administration, and Health Care Operations Management. My teaching role focuses on integrating class content and its practical application to the local business community and global publicly traded companies. I value experiential learning and high-impact practices as pedagogical tools to motivate students to learn.

My research interests focus on five areas of management: Strategic Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, and Health Care Administration. I particularly enjoy researching U.S. and Latin America CEOs and entrepreneurs.

Mentorship is a priority in my role as a College Professor. I am the Faculty Advisor for the Business Club and Gamma Beta Phi Honors Society USCB chapter. As an academic advisor, I mentor my students to make informed decisions for their lives and professional careers. My mentorship goes beyond the curriculum and classroom requirements. I challenge students to think critically, what I call "connect-the-dots," when managing their organizations and practicing decision-making in various scenarios.

Please contact me for more information about my courses, research, Business Club, and
Gamma Beta Phi Honors Society. My email is jiglesias@uscb.edu.
