B.A. in Early Childhood Education
The Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education is designed for students seeking South Carolina teaching certification in grades Pre-K-3.
Early childhood education majors benefit from engaging hands-on experiences, opportunities to integrate theory with teaching practice as well as extensive field and clinical experiences in local schools. This program provides students with a broad academic background and the professional knowledge, skills and dispositions needed for elementary teachers in grades Pre-K-3.

The program has embedded clinical experiences throughout the coursework.
The early childhood education program is a 123 credit-hour program. All students seeking to complete the B.A. in Elementary Education degree must be admitted formally into the Professional Program when they have completed a minimum of 46 semester hours, 30 of which must be completed at USCB, and have met other requirements.
