Two Student Scene PerformanceThe University of South Carolina Beaufort offers a dynamic minor in Theater for undergraduate students. This program is designed to provide students with a broad understanding of the history, theory, and practice of theater, as well as opportunities to develop their skills in acting, directing, and production. The curriculum includes courses in acting, stagecraft, theater history, and script analysis, among others. Students also have the chance to participate in productions throughout the year, both on and offstage. With a focus on collaboration and creativity, the minor in theater program at USC Beaufort offers students the chance to explore their passion for the performing arts and develop valuable skills for their future careers.

Minor requirements

Students from across the university may choose to pursue a minor in Theater.  To earn this minor, students must complete 18 credit hours including:

  • THEA B201
  • THEA B170 or THEA B200
  • THEA B301 or THEA B302
  • Any three theater courses at the 300+ level

Students are strongly encouraged to consult their advisors before declaring a minor.
