First Year Honors Programmatic Cohorts*
Biology and Nursing honors cohorts take classes on the Beaufort campus. The honors program offers small class sizes to support each student's smooth transition to university-level academics as well as opportunities to participate in local internships and research. A special Honors Orientation and Welcome Seminar provides students with a focused introducation to USCB and the Honors Program. Further, excursions to local historical, environmental, course-related and festive sites provide an orientation to professional possibilities and to the beauty and fun points of interest in the SC Lowcountry, including festivals, parks, recreational activities, etc.

Students will be advised individually in this cohort. They have access to most of the courses listed above, which ensures steady progression in their chosen major.
*BCH students are welcome to join any of the other courses taught at the USCB Beaufort campus to enrich their curricular choice for each semester.
