I joined the USCB faculty in July 2022. I am currently serving as the Chair of the Hospitality, Resort and Tourism Management program at USCB. I have 25+ years of experience in higher education and am excited to be a part of a world class faculty here at USCB

I was born and raised in the great State of South Carolina. I was educated in South Carolina with the exception of a detour through the Volunteer State of Tennessee. I have been teaching since 1996 and throughout my career, I have served in a variety of capacities. I have been fortunate to serve first class institutions and the students that landed there.

My greatest joy is watching a student progress from the greenness of a freshman to the polished confidence of a senior. Career readiness is something that we often look past in favor of classroom instruction. While textbooks have a large amount of information, there is a ton to be said for hands-on experience. I look forward to getting to know the students we serve and assist in preparing them for the “real world.”
