Minor in Spanish

Hola! ¿Hablas español?

Spanish Professor with Student

A Spanish minor at USCB requires a minimum of 18 hours credit including:

SPAN B201, 3 SPAN B202, SPAN B301, and 3 SPAN courses at the 300+ level.

*SPAN 398 can be taken multiple times as long as the class topic differs among disciplines

At least half of these hours must be completed at USCB and you must pass all these courses with a grade of ‘C’ or better. Courses used to satisfy requirements of your Spanish minor count toward general education requirements but not your major. You are strongly encouraged to consult your advisor before declaring a minor.

Spanish Challenge Exam

The Spanish Challenge Exam offers students who have placed by examination (via placement exams) into higher level language classes the opportunity to obtain credit for lower level classes they were not required to take. To receive credit for classes you exempted, you must pass the Spanish Challenge Exam with a grade of B or higher.
